Geographic Information System of Archaeological Excavations of Cordova (SIGEAC in Spanish)

The Geographic Information System of Archaeological Excavations of Cordova (SIGEAC in Spanish) is a cartographic viewer in which are documented the archaeological interventions carried out in the city of Cordova, including administrative data, description, relation of evidences by historical periods, pictures and documentation of interest.

This tool allows searching by location, historical periods or documented evidences, using different cartographic bases and historical planimetries or aerial photographs in order to facilitate a better understanding of the deposits.

It is a database that is constantly growing, open to citizen collaboration and to the participation of archaeological professionals, providing information that may be relevant from old interventions or new ones that are being carried out. For this we have enabled two forms of contact, depending on the type of user.
